National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Exam Preparation

The Education Fund is now offering National Healthcareer Association (NHA) preparation resources for seven different certification exams. These bundles include test preparation modules and the option to receive exam voucher codes to give you the tools and confidence to earn your certification. Please note that this only offers resources for you to get ready for an exam and is not an actual certification program.

Study guides and exam resources are available for:

  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS)
  • Certified EKG Tech (CET)
  • Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT)

NHA offers certification exams for a variety of healthcare fields and is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Eligibility Requirements

To participate, learners must:

  • Have either their high school diploma or GED.
  • Have one of the following: Completed a related training program within the last 5 years or at least 1 year of supervised work experience in a related field (some certifications require this to be within the last 3 years).

How to Apply

To sign up for NHA exam preparation resources, go to MyEdFund portal, choose “Available Programs,” then “Continuing Education” and choose “NHA Certification.” Please note: Learners outside of California will need to first meet with a career counselor before applying.
