The Education Fund is proud to be part of a national network of Labor-Management Training Partnerships (LMTPs) that has supported the education, career advancement, and professional growth of more than 800,000 healthcare workers across 22 states.
For decades, LMTPs have demonstrated how collaboration between workers, unions, and employers can create meaningful opportunities for career development while advancing equity, strengthening healthcare workforces, and building worker power. Through education, training programs, and career pathways, these partnerships help healthcare workers gain new skills, advance their careers, and better serve their communities.
Now, exciting new research from H-CAP (Healthcare Career Advancement Program) documents the experiences of healthcare workers who have benefited from these programs and offers recommendations for expanding these vital workforce development initiatives nationwide.
The findings reinforce what we see every day: when workers have access to high-quality training and educational opportunities, they thrive, workplaces grow stronger, and patients receive better care.
