The Education Fund also offers programs and services to public sector SEIU 1021 and SEIU 521 members who do not have the Education Fund in their union contracts. This is made possible through grant funding received by our affiliate organization, the Shirley Ware Education Center.
Opportunities for SEIU 521 and SEIU 1021 Members
The Education Fund is partnering with SEIU 521 and SEIU 1021 on grant-funded programs and services for eligible members training for Nursing careers.
Funded by the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB), this grant runs through April 30, 2027. The grant was established to address workforce shortages and build labor-management partnerships. Funding is contingent upon continued eligibility and program availability.
