How to Succeed in Distance Learning – 4 week class!

Become successful in distance learning with the STEP Accelerated Online Program. The STEP Accelerated Online Program is offering a special 4-week, fast-paced, 100% online, general education and prerequisite classes. Learners can begin their distance learning journey by taking a one unit EDUC C108 class that will prepare them to become more confident in an online setting. Class is: July 6 – Aug 2, 2020.


Webinar – Healthcare Worker Fatigue: Too Tired to Care?

Can “a little” fatigue impair your thinking? Is working at night the same as working during the day as long as hours are consistent? Join this webinar to learn about the statistics and research concerning healthcare worker fatigue and safety in order to support and equip healthcare worker with the self-care tools needed to sustained focus and alertness.

Learn to:

  • Describe the possible adverse effects of working while fatigued
  • Identify the data surrounding fatigue in healthcare staff
  • Review how the healthcare team can work together to support fatigue awareness

This course is online, on-demand and available at no cost to you. It takes approximately one hour to complete. (RNs and LVNs can earn 1.0 contact hour).

Futuro Health Pandemic Readiness Courses and Programs

The Education Fund, in partnership with Futuro Health and SEIU-UHW, is offering two online Pandemic Readiness trainings, available at no cost to you:

Pandemic Readiness for LVN/LPNs
This course helps prepare healthcare workers on the front lines as much as possible for future patient care during this crisis. It is open to all LVN/LPNs with a valid license. The course is entirely self-paced, online and should take an estimated 6 hours. The training does not need to all be taken in one sitting.

COVID-19 Readiness Training for Healthcare Workers and First Responders
This online course is specifically designed to train frontline healthcare workers on what they need to know to support testing potential COVID-19 patients safely and effectively. The course will take about two-and-a-half hours to complete and is entirely self-paced.

COVID-19 Toolkit & Webinar

Relias (formerly CE Direct) is offering an extensive toolkit of free online learning resources, including webinars which are free and open to all.

Elsevier COVID-19 Clinical Toolkit

This toolkit provide the latest evidence-based practices for COVID-19 covering topics from symptom management to diagnosis, treatment and ongoing wellness.

CNA Zone

CNA Zone offers online CEUs for CNAs, HHAs and PCTs.

The California Department of Public Health is temporarily allowing all Certified Nursing Assistants to obtain the required 48 CEUs needed for renewal entirely online. For more information, please visit the CDPH website.

CE Reimbursement Program

For all classifications: Get up to $1,000 for CEs!

Through the Education Fund’s CE Reimbursement Program, learners can take any CE from a reputable vendor, including in-person or online CE training options (online live simulcasts, webinars, etc.), and be reimbursed up to $1,000 annually. The online application must be completely filled out and submitted electronically within 90 days of the last day of the training (online or in-person).

CE Direct & Focused CEs Series

CE Direct offers online CEUs for those members working in the following classifications: Nursing, Medical Assistants, Surgical Tech, Imaging and Radiologic Therapy, Social Workers, Respiratory, Dietitians, Pharmacy, Health Educators, and other allied health professions.

The Focused CE Series is for Registered Nurses and combines weekly live webinars led by nationally recognized experts, self-study readings, and an online forum to connect with your instructors and classmates. At the end of the series, you will earn an overall certificate of completion in addition to 12-to-50 CE contact hours.

American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)

ASRT offers online CEUs for Radiologic Technologists, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Techs, Mammographers, and more.

AHIMA & AAPC provide Medical Coders with information on privacy and security, coding, electronic health records, clinical documentation, health informatics, data analysis, reimbursement, compliance and other critical topics.

They also offer resources and surveys for pre-work webinars for the CCS and CCS-P Exam, Outpatient CDI and CHDA Exam.
